Michael Jackson - Human Nature
I was thinking about NOT posting anything MJ related, since the whole world is up on his ish, but a friend told me I should, and I think its appriopiate too.

Michael, my first crush, the first artist I felt in sync with (litterly, since I lipsinced one of his songs in front of the whole kindergarten when I was 7) is dead.
Gives me some sort of weird tickely feeling now I listen to his songs. He was kinda one of those who were immortal in my eyes. Or I just simply wished he was, meaning I never wanted that day to come that I’d hear he died. And he just did.
Like a few of my friends said, we can see the wack remixtapes coming, so I’ll just pass on my ultimate MJ song (human nature, what else?) and a Oh No mix with lotsa Off the Walls (via Stylus).
Came across this lovely art blog a few days ago. Felt my duty to share: acidolatte
I’m free! Graduated from highschool last week, you can’t really tell but I’m very, very happy.
Sharing with ya’lls: a beattape by a guy named Alex B. He’s yet another beatmaker who is inspired by artists like Jay Dee/Madlib etc., but unlike other dillabiters he manages to give it his own twist.
Checkout this tune called “Pressure Cooker” (zshare)
Like what you hear? DL the full tape here.
Kill time? Play this flash version.
Fresh!
Watch these guys remix Tribe live, half decks half band…
Behind the scenes of a photoshoot by Clayton Cubitt. Girls can’t stop laughing and loose it after the nippple clamp pops off, LOL.

Pretty decent video on creating a wall painting from only black paint. Creation’s called “Tacit” by Lyct McLauchlan and the film is directed by Matt Watkins.
OH! Inspired by Marty Macfly. More pics!
Since I don’t have a comment section:

Pixação
I’ve come across this term many times before, but I had never taken the time to actually figure out what it exactly was.
I did now and I’m thrilled.
Pixação basically a specific type of graffiti lettering that is native to São Paulo (the city known as one of the roughest and most vibrant cities in the world and has a rep as the growing global epicenter for some of the most and coming artists).
This vid is a nice break down of the artform and its cultural reference.

Another video you might want to check out is this raw vid of Pixação artists in action, being the actual vid that made me curious of what Pixação actually was.
Also, Juxtapoz magazine has a clear indepth interview on how Pixação’s additude has changed in the past 30 years. Recommended read.

Thanks Martha Cooper for taking pictures of creative streetkids in the 70s. No official website, try google though.
Talk about work ethic.
Some guy spend over 2 years making 6.000 individual paintings to create this 5min-video. I LOVE this. “Khoda” by Reza Dolatabadi.
